Piglets undergo a lot of stress from birth to weaning, including various microorganisms, feeding environment, temperature, weaning, and dietary changes. With changes in diet and other factors, the intestinal microenvironment undergoes corresponding changes, mainly due to changes in the types and numbers of microorganisms, as well as a series of modifications in the physiological structure and function of the intestine. Under the unstable conditions mentioned above, various stimuli may cause piglets to experience various types of diarrhea during lactation and before and after weaning. So, how to prevent and control piglet diarrhea? Let's take a look.

1、 Teaching piglets how to adapt to feed with teaching trough feed:
Teaching trough feed (commonly known as substitute milk feed, artificial milk) is a type of feed formulated to replace whole milk, and its main raw material is dairy by-products. The nutritional indicators of substitute dairy products are protein not less than 20% and fat not less than 6%.

The fundamental purpose of using teaching trough feed is to gradually adapt suckling pigs to plant-based feed. The use of excellent teaching trough feed can promote the development of gastrointestinal microbiota and enzyme systems, preparing for later growth, rather than just higher feed intake and maximum daily weight gain during the teaching trough process!

  Characteristics of teaching materials

  1. Suitable for digestion and nutrient absorption. The low content of anti nutritional factors and allergic factors among them is the key to improving feed digestibility and increasing the feed intake of piglets. Feed only shows good performance after digestion, absorption, and re sedimentation. The daily weight gain of suckling pigs during this stage has extraordinary significance for the overall growth performance of commercial pigs.

  2. Good palatability. Piglets like to eat and have a very large feed intake, which is necessary for achieving good daily weight gain indicators.

  3. Comprehensive and balanced nutrition. The nutritional composition and digestibility of various raw materials are different. Therefore, it is necessary to use scientific formulas and carefully prepare them.

  4. The incidence rate of pigs is low. Especially to minimize the incidence of diarrhea. The feed with indigestion, after passing through the small intestine, enters the large intestine, which is a good culture medium for bacteria in the large intestine, leading to rapid growth of bacteria in the large intestine. This is the main cause of diarrhea in suckling pigs. Once nutritional diarrhea occurs, in addition to protein, nutrients such as electrolytes, vitamins, and amino acids are also lost through "diarrhea".

  5. No weaning stress phenomenon. Weaning may cause weight loss and growth arrest in piglets after weaning. To quickly restore the normal growth rate of pigs and compensate for weaning stress losses, it is necessary to increase the feeding of weaned pig feed and improve feeding conditions.

2、 Feeding management and prevention of piglet diarrhea:

To prevent and treat diarrhea, the first step is to correct the concept of health care and fully understand the drawbacks of traditional medication. The most suitable stage for the use of medication is when the pig herd develops a disease, and medication can be used for treatment. In response to the current pig farming environment, health care is the trend. New nutritional and immunological health care methods have no side effects on pig herds and can prevent diseases while promoting rapid growth of piglets.

  1. As the saying goes, boars are good and have a good slope; A good sow, a good litter, is enough to illustrate the importance of sows. To ensure the health of both mother and offspring, the following measures can be taken to reduce the amount of medication consumed by sows. Especially during pregnancy and lactation. Nutritional and health promoting drugs can be added to feed. Adding them during pregnancy can effectively increase fetal birth weight and prevent paralysis in sows before and after childbirth. Adding them during lactation can effectively improve milk quality and quantity, and reduce yellow and white diarrhea in piglets.

  2. To ensure the required environmental temperature for piglet growth, an insulated box with hanging insulation lamps can be used to keep the enclosure dry and prevent excessive moisture.

  3. When piglets experience diarrhea, the first step is to correctly analyze the cause and treat it accordingly. If it is yellow and white diarrhea, it is recommended to use drugs that do not contain any antibiotic ingredients. There are no antibiotic residues or toxic side effects, which can effectively restore the balance of intestinal microbiota and protect intestinal villi, promoting the rapid recovery of yellow and white diarrhea piglets and piglets with intestinal diseases.

The relevant characteristics of enzyme preparations and their application in animal feed

Feed contains various anti nutritional factors, which can limit the release of nutrients in the feed. In addition, the lack or absence of digestive enzymes in the animal's gastrointestinal tract can lead to a lower digestion rate of feed, affecting the utilization rate of feed and hindering the healthy growth of animals.
